Soft. Beautiful. Romantic.
But that version is incomplete.
Venus is not just love in the way it has been packaged and sold. She is attraction itself, the force that pulls life into connection. She is desire, yes, but not just for another person. She is desire for life, for pleasure, for creation, for expression.
She is what makes something worth having.
Long before she became “Venus,” she was known in older traditions as Inanna and Ishtar, goddesses of love, war, fertility, and power. Not passive. Not delicate. Fully embodied forces of creation and destruction.
That matters.
Because somewhere along the way, her power was softened.
Turned into beauty without authority. Desire without control. Love without sovereignty.
But the truth is still there if you look closer.
The Planet That Moves Differently
Venus is one of the brightest objects in the sky. You’ve probably seen her without realizing it, rising just before the sun or shining just after it sets.
She is known as both the Morning Star and the Evening Star.
That duality is not random.
In ancient understanding, her movement was symbolic. She disappears from the sky, then returns again. This cycle was seen as a descent and rebirth, a journey into the underworld and back.
Not unlike the stories of Inanna descending, being stripped of everything, and rising again transformed.
Venus is not just beauty. She is transformation through experience.
The Symbols You Were Given
When you think of Venus, you’re probably shown hearts, roses, and soft imagery.
But even those symbols point to something deeper.
The rose, for example, is not just beauty. It is layered, protected, unfolding. It blooms when it is ready, not when it is forced.
That is Venus energy.
Unrushed. Magnetic. Self-contained.
Venus and Worth
At her core, Venus governs value.
Not just money.
Value in how you see yourself.
Value in what you accept.
Value in what you allow into your space.
This is where things get real.
Because if Venus represents attraction, then what you attract is tied directly to what you believe you are worth.
Not what you say. What you hold.
You cannot call in abundance while operating from lack.
You cannot call in love while rejecting yourself.
Venus doesn’t respond to words. She responds to alignment.
The Return to the True Venus
To reconnect with Venus is not about becoming more attractive in the way the world defines it.
It is about becoming more aligned.
It is about:
• Owning your desires without shame
• Allowing pleasure without guilt
• Setting standards without apology
• Receiving without resistance
Venus does not chase.
She draws in.
And that is the part that has been forgotten.
Because a fully embodied Venus does not beg, compete, or prove.
She knows.
And because she knows, she attracts.
So What Is Venus, Really?
Venus is not just the goddess of love.
She is the embodiment of attraction, value, and magnetic creation.
She is the reminder that what is meant for you does not have to be forced.
It has to be aligned.
And when you understand that, everything changes.
